Volunteer Program

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Maricopa Unified!

1. Complete the online application here. Once you have completed the application, please stop by the district office Wednesdays between 1pm-4pm to complete the process. If you are unable to visit us during these times, feel free to call Jim Irving at 520-568-5100 ext. 1056 to set up an appointment.

2. Please be sure to bring a copy of your driver’s license or another form of official ID to the district office. You may or may not be fingerprinted based on the type of volunteering you are interested in.

3. You will then be given a temporary badge that allow you to start volunteering that day.  If you need to be finger printed it could take four to five weeks for your prints to clear. The temporary badge will allow you to start under supervision.

4. The school site will give you your volunteer assignment. This will be done by the front office staff or a member of the PTO.

5. When reporting to your site it is important to sign in using the volunteer logbook.

6. You will be given a short volunteer orientation by the district coordinator and a site orientation at your school.

Thank you so much for being a part of the MUSD family. If you have concerns or questions, please contact Jim Irving at jirving@musd20.org or call 520-568-5100 ext. 1056.
